How-to: Manage Administrative Folder Rights in Datameer

By on August 8, 2014

Security is one of the most important elements when working with data and that is why Datameer’s folder level permissions feature is one of my favorites that I wanted to share with you today. This feature allows each Datameer user the ability to set viewing and editing permissions for files and folders they’ve created via the visibility, read and write functions. You can also add groups for easy manageability!

For example, if you only want specific users to have access to read and write in a workbook, you can create a group that consists of those people and grant them access. Then it’s easy enough to add or remove users as needed. Alternatively, if you want everyone else but specific people to have access to read and write (or just read), then you have the option to invert the function.

So simple!  Find out more in our documentation and watch my tutorial below. And what better way to enjoy your weekend than downloading a free Datameer trial to try it out for yourself?
