How-to: Use Rest API in Datameer to Edit Workbooks

By on September 5, 2014

Happy Friday everyone! Sometimes you want an alternative way to edit workbooks aside from going into the UI and making updates. This is why we have the Rest API feature. It allows you to configure, monitor, and operate Datameer without using the Web console. Instead, you can use command line tools (e.g. cURL or Wget) using HTTP protocol. The API can be used by scripts or with a monitoring tool, requests are made using a URL and a command, and responses are returned in JSON format.

Check out my tutorial below for a step-by-step or read more about the REST API here. You can also try it out for yourself and let us know what you think by downloading your free 14-day Datameer trial!
